In the Summer of 2015, Be You partnered with Girls Driving for a Difference to host a workshop for thirty middle school girls in Howard County called the Find Your Drive workshop. GDD was created by 4 Stanford University women with the mission to empower girls to become leaders of social change. During the 2 hour workshop, girls discovered their strengths, talents & the possibilities for making an impact on the world. They concluded the program by developing a personal mission statement for their lives.
High School students from the Young Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County served as peer mentors to the girls during the workshop. Thanks to the UMBC Training Center for use of their amazing facility!
