The Social Impact Club is for students looking to use collaboration & innovation to impact social change. Participants will work in self-directed project teams to develop activities and implement solutions for the community. While doing so, they work alongside mentors and thought leaders from area companies to develop their own strengths & skills in leadership and social change. Participants learn about community resources, ways to volunteer and where to give back to make a difference. The club is open to all students in grades 6-12.
On Martin Luther King’s Day of Service 2017, we hosted our 2nd Annual “Making An Impact Through Service” event. The event gathered middle & high school students to discuss the issues and challenges they found most important to our community. Those who attended participated in engaging dialogue, discussed possible solutions to local issues and created project impact ideas for follow-on activities.
Join the Social Impact Club and be a part of this important work going forward!
Become a volunteer and help facilitate and mentor group meetings.
